Sustainable Procurement

A significant proportion of a law firm's revenue is spent on buying stuff, making procurement a great opportunity to enhance the sustainability of the business as well as influence the behaviour of suppliers.

Even as individuals, the way in which we choose to spend our money is a very powerful force for communicating a desire for change.

In this session, we will by joined by Sara Redmond-Neal to talk about sustainable procurement from first steps (buying a 'greener' paper) through to opportunities to implement a more sophisticated procurement process.
  • How do we decide where to spend our money?
  • What criteria and principles should we consider?
  • How do we get reliable information?
  • What assistance is available to help and inform our decisions?
  • How do we include sustainability in our procurement processes?
