Tour of Tootgarook biodiversity offset property

Tootgarook Swamp is a site of Biological Significance in Victoria. Protection and management of the site is funded through a biodiversity offset arrangement with the Linking Melbourne Authority.

·         See first-hand how sites of significant conservation value can be used to satisfy biodiversity offset requirements.

·         Learn how offset arrangements are planned and structured.

·         Meet -

o    Trust for Nature’s offset team and regional staff

o    Tootgarook Swamp owner, Robert McNaught

o    DEPI and Linking Melbourne Authority staff involved in the project

When: Saturday, 12 October 2013, 10am-4pm

Transport: Travel by bus from a meeting point in the CBD and southeast Melbourne (details to follow) or meet us onsite in Tootgarook

Lunch: On way back at Fork to Fork Restaurant in Heronswood Garden

Who:Environmental and planning lawyers and planners.

Limit of 20 people.

NELA members: $100
Non-members: $120

Cost covers bus, morning tea and lunch (excl drinks)
