This is a brand new series of virtual round table discussions. The first session, on Wednesday 28 May, will be about Document Management for law firms.

A panel of international document management experts will debate the future of the traditional on-premise document management systems (DMS), the pros and cons of SharePoint as DMS for law firms and the alternatives in the cloud.

Participants will be able to submit questions at registration and during the session.

The panel will be:

Brian Podolsky – Practice Manager at US technology and management consultants Kraft Kennedy, Brian is a recognized DM specialist with broad, practical experience of multiple DMS implementations.

Jan Durant – as Director of IT & Operations at Lewis Silkin LLP, Jan is a legal technology pioneer. Lewis Silkin was the first UK top 100 firm to launch a SharePoint-based DMS system.

Ben Weinberger - Ben has been involved with document management since the early days of SoftSolutions and was a recipient of the ILTA Distinguished Peer Award for ECM Champion following a major project at Lathrop & Gage.

Doug Caddell – as CIO of international law firm Foley & Lardner for 13 years, Doug presided over the firm’s transition from on-premise traditional DM to DM in the cloud. Doug is currently CIO at kCura.
