About AusLSA

The Australian Legal Sector Alliance (AusLSA) is an inclusive alliance of law firms whose mission is: To work collaboratively to promote sustainable practices across the legal sector

AusLSA works with the Executive Membership to create and develop the program framework.

AusLSA is a Company Limited by Guarantee operating on a not for profit basis. It is governed by the AusLSA Board.

Background

AusLSA was initiated by a small, dedicated group of lawyers from a variety of backgrounds including large and small firms, government, the Law Institute of Victoria and the community legal sector. This group of volunteers was joined by Net Balance Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of Net Balance, one of Australia’s leading providers of sustainability advice, assurance, and research.

This ‘Organising Committee’ was responsible for establishing the Foundation Membership of AusLSA. Since June 2010, the Foundation Members have directed the development of AusLSA.
